There is more food available per person than there ever has been in literally the entire history of humanity. (If you want a source for this, read the Food & Agriculture Organization’s 2002 report World Agriculture) Even the United Nations acknowledges that the volume of food produced can’t explain poverty and malnourishment. Which means it’s not how food is produced, but how it’s distributed and who is in control of its distribution.

Which means it’s time to start blaming capitalism

Final Fantasy XV for next-gen consoles only; available for PS4 and Xbox One

Final Fantasy executive producer Shinji Hashimoto announced today that Final Fantasy XV will be released only for the eighth generation of consoles; and despite having been announced at Sony’s E3 conference yesterday, will also be on the Xbox One.

Hashimoto also said that sequels to Final Fantasy XV, much in the same vein as Final Fantasy IV, X and XIII, might be a possibility.

Final Fantasy XV, originally titled Final Fantasy Versus XIII, was first announced at E3 2006 and initially developed exclusively for the Playstation 3. It will be the first Final Fantasy title for next-gen consoles; producer Yoshinori Kitase confirmed this morning that the upcoming Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be the series’ last release for this generation.

I’m probably getting a PS4 in early 2014 so we can be FFXV pals.
